Every resident of Scotland is entitled to a basic eye examination fully funded by NHS Scotland.

• ALL CHILDREN under the age of 16 ... annual eye examination
• ALL ADULTS over the age of 60 ... annual eye examination
• Children aged 16-18 in full-time education ... two yearly eye examination
• All people with any type of diagnosed DIABETES ... two yearly eye examination
• All people with any type of diagnosed GLAUCOMA ... two yearly eye examination
• Adults over the age of 40 with a parent/brother/sister/child with any type of diagnosed GLAUCOMA ... two yearly eye examination
• All people who are attending an Ophthalmologist because they are at risk of developing GLAUCOMA ... two yearly eye examination

• YOU WILL BE ENTITLED TO AN NHS VOUCHER ( a contribution towards the cost of your spectacles/contact lenses) i IF YOU ARE IN RECEIPT OF THE FOLLOWING:-
• Adult or partner receiving INCOME SUPPORT
• Adult or partner receiving JOBSEEKER'S ALLOWANCE
• Adult or partner with an NHS TAX CREDIT EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE
• Adult or partner receiving PENSION CREDIT GUARANTEE CREDIT
• Adult or partner with an HC2 CERTIFICATE
